Why We Decided to Share Our Work Beyond Taiwan
Bubble & Pea began in Taiwan with a simple goal: to create better everyday nutrition for the rabbits and guinea pigs we love. Our hay powders are hay-based, grain-free, soy-free, and carefully made in Taiwan. This is why we decided to take what we’ve built at home and share it with small-pet families around the world.
Two Adopted Rabbits in Taiwan
Our journey began in Taiwan with two adopted sibling rabbits — Bubble and Pea.
When they first came home, they had very different needs. Bubble struggled with recurring nasal discharge and rarely ate hay or vegetables, while Pea was an enthusiastic eater but barely drank water.
Later, an accident left Pea with injuries to her spine and ribs. When medical treatment could only go so far, we began looking more closely at what we could do through everyday nutrition. We studied rabbit nutrition, researched ingredients, and eventually began developing our own hay-based blends using hay, herbs, fruits, and vegetables — without grains or soy.
Over time, Pea became more stable and regained strength, while Bubble’s recurring nasal discharge eventually stopped and his digestion became much more stable. That experience changed the way we thought about everyday feeding.
We began to believe that what rabbits eat every day can play a meaningful role in supporting their long-term health and quality of life.
From a Small Beginning to a Global Hope
What started as a personal effort to care for Bubble and Pea gradually grew into Bubble & Pea, a brand devoted to creating natural, species-appropriate nutrition for rabbits and guinea pigs.
We never set out to “go global.” But as more rabbit and guinea pig owners from different countries discovered Bubble & Pea, we began hearing the same concerns again and again: confusing ingredient labels, unnecessary fillers, and limited options for owners looking for simpler, hay-based nutrition made with recognizable ingredients.
We realized these concerns weren’t unique to Taiwan. Pet parents around the world were asking many of the same questions about what they feed their rabbits and guinea pigs every day.
That’s why we decided to share Bubble & Pea beyond Taiwan — while staying true to the way we have always worked: small-batch production, transparent ingredients, thoughtful formulations, and genuine care for the animals we make them for.

Every pack of Bubble & Pea hay powder is carefully made in Taiwan, using thoughtfully selected ingredients and food-grade stainless steel equipment. As part of our quality assurance process, we also conduct pesticide residue and heavy metal testing to help ensure product quality and safety.
