Q & A
How to Feed Bubble & Pea Hay Powder?
A short feeding guide for rabbits and guinea pigs: how much water to add, whether formulas can be combined, and how hay powder fits into a routine that includes supplements or medication.
How do I prepare the hay powder?
Mix thoroughly with drinking water before serving.
Recommended amounts of water for every 1 g of hay powder:
⇨ Hay balls: 2 mL
⇨ Hay puree: 3–4 mL
⇨ Syringe feeding: 5 mL
Can I mix different hay powder formulas?
Yes. We recommend mixing no more than two formulas at a time to keep the blend focused on your rabbit or guinea pig’s nutritional needs.
Can I feed hay powder alongside supplements or medication?
Our hay powder is made entirely from natural whole-food ingredients. If your rabbit or guinea pig takes medication, check with the prescribing veterinarian before mixing it into the hay powder or changing how it is given.
Enzymes or probiotics do not need to be added automatically. Whether additional supplements are useful depends on your pet’s diet and individual needs. Check the full ingredient list, as some supplements contain added ingredients that may not be suitable for rabbits.
Has your rabbit turned down other brands of hay powder?
Bubble & Pea hay powder is different—made fresh to order using only human-grade ingredients.
We’d love for your rabbit to give it a try!
