Q & A

Supporting Your Rabbit’s Daily Well-Being — Together, for Life

Five questions about hay powder and everyday rabbit health: whether finely milled hay still provides benefits, how often to feed it, how long it takes to see results, whether it’s suitable for long-term use, and how it affects your rabbit’s interest in eating hay.

Does finely ground hay powder still provide nutritional benefits?

Yes. Grinding hay into a fine powder does not make its fiber or nutrients disappear. Think of powdered fiber supplements for people: a fine texture does not mean the fiber is no longer useful.

Our low-temperature milling process breaks down plant cell walls while retaining fiber and nutrients. The goal is to provide daily nutritional support in a finely ground form.

Long-strand hay remains the foundation of your rabbit’s diet, providing prolonged chewing and coarse fiber. Our hay powder complements that foundation with additional fiber and whole-food nutrition.

Should I feed it to my rabbit every day?

Yes. Our hay powder is designed for daily feeding to support your rabbit’s long-term well-being. Consistency matters: nutritional support works over time, rather than acting as a quick fix.

We recommend feeding it daily for at least one month to give you time to observe changes in your rabbit’s condition. This is an initial observation period—daily feeding can continue as part of your rabbit’s ongoing care.

How long does it take to see results?

Based on our feeding experience, some younger rabbits show noticeable improvements in as little as 3 days.

Senior rabbits can also benefit, though their overall condition may take one month to a year of consistent daily feeding to stabilize. This does not mean there will be no improvement during that time—positive changes may become noticeable along the way.

Results vary depending on each rabbit’s individual condition.

Are there any side effects from long-term use?

We have not observed adverse effects in our own rabbits, who have eaten our hay powder daily for eight years. Customers who have used it for over four years have also reported excellent results.

Our range includes 11 hay powder formulas designed to support different nutritional needs and life stages in rabbits and guinea pigs, giving owners options for ongoing daily care.

Four formulas are currently available on our global website.

Will my rabbit stop eating hay after eating hay powder?

The feedback we receive from customers is the opposite: their rabbits become more enthusiastic hay eaters after our hay powder becomes part of their daily routine. This is feedback shared by our customers, not just a claim we make.

Mixing the powder with water also adds moisture to their diet. Our hay powder complements long-strand hay, which remains the foundation of your rabbit’s daily diet.
